Dear Klawock Students, Families, Staff, and Community,

It is with great excitement that I join the Klawock Chieftains as your new superintendent. My daughter, Julianne, and I recently relocated from Aniak, Alaska, and we are honored to become part of this wonderful community.

As I begin my first year in Klawock, one of my greatest priorities is getting to know our students, families, staff, and community members. Strong schools are built on strong relationships, and I look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside each of you to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Together, we will continue to fulfill our district's mission:

"Together we will empower students to create and achieve their goals to adapt in an ever-changing world."

I firmly believe that when students are supported, encouraged, and inspired, there is no limit to what they can achieve. As the saying goes, "If you believe it, you can achieve it." My commitment is to help create an environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported academically, socially, emotionally, and as they prepare for college, careers, and life beyond graduation.

This year marks my twentieth year in education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a classroom teacher, school counselor, school administrator, and now superintendent. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that every child deserves a caring, high-quality education and adults who believe in their potential.

My door is always open. I welcome your ideas, questions, and partnerships as we work together to provide the very best educational experience for our students. I am excited about all that we will accomplish together and look forward to a successful school year.

Thank you for welcoming my family and me into your community. I cannot wait to meet each of you and begin this exciting journey together.

With gratitude,

Rebecca Stallworth

Superintendent
