Klawock City School District

Klawock School has recently installed some exciting new playground equipment. There is a spinning circle students hang from, there is a rope climbing unit, and there is a merry go round type unit too. They were installed over spring break and the students have been playing on the new units this week. We quickly learned that we needed rules for the new equipment and during recess times, we have them now. Please note: Klawock School has a supervisor on the playground until 3 PM (Mon-Thurs) and 2 PM on Fridays. Students who remain on the playground after these times are not supervised by the district. KCSD encourages parents to be with their children while on the playground after school hours. We are proud of our playground equipment, but if misused, accidents do happen. We need to make sure all students use the equipment properly and safely, and it's up to parents to make sure that's happening outside of school hours.

Good morning! We will be doing take two of the Elementary Christams Play (resuming where the lights went out) this morning at 10:15am in our school gym. All are welcome! Klawock school update: We will assess conditions tomorrow morning by 6:30 am. If power is out and / or road conditions are not safe for travel, we may cancel school. We will update everyone before 7am tomorrow. Everyone have a good evening and please be safe.

Good afternoon! Couple things: 1) there is no school on Weds, November 1st. 2) picture retakes are on Monday October 30th, starting at 12 noon. If you wanted to replace/retake your Chieftain's picture, bring in the pictures you wante replaced. For those that will be ordering retakes, it is suggested that you wait to pay for a packet until you are able to see the retake. Thank you! Have a wonderful weekend!

High school volleyball update For those interested in the schedule for today, the first two games will run on scheduled time. After all teams arrive today, we will roll into the next game approximately 20 minutes after the finish of game prior.
